yep.  which is why we posted here asking for potential adopters to give
us some feedback.

our guess is that there is a non-trivial population of folk large enough
to get whatever tools are needed.  for them, the cost of the tooling is
a trivial part of the cost of incorporating cryptech designs into their
product.

but fredrik makes a good argument for there being a long tail of less
financially well-off folk, from small labs to the hacker community.  and
they are our siblings and are communities we want to support.  strong
crypto should be as widely spread as possible.

but, if we can not get the puppy out the door due to our own engineering
constraints, it makes little difference.  which is where your
