FYI: I have ordered a TerasIC DE0 board and it should be at the office
tomorrow. The FPGA will only allow testing of single cores, but should
be easy to set up and get started which is what I see is most important
right now. And the board is capable enough to allow us to do experiments
on entropy sources etc.

I'll just hook up a serial port to it and implement a UART-Wishbone
bridge and it should be possible to start writing test cases in SW on a
host machine for the cores.
Nifty. And cheap.
