Доверяй, но проверяй ;).
I think maybe the need to verify depends on if we are going to make PCB layout
from the Eagle schematics, or use them strictly as schematics. I was going to
bring up the topic of how much we value an Eagle based design on todays call -
too bad you will be in bed.

Too bad... I think the oscillator issue is sorted out actually - HSE seems to
work fine on my last 4 dev-bridge boards where I exchanged the oscillator
crystal with a resonating crystal.
