Interesting, so in theory it's the "Reflections on trusting trust" thing where
you can booby-trap the compiler to insert backdoors.  OTOH since they make
lithography machines it'd be a pretty painful place to mount an attack, it's
most likely (as the article itself says) plain industrial espionage so the PRC
can create its own lithography machines.
