Haha, maybe I could fit the FT232H in the corner but not the boatload of 
surrounding components it rode in with.

Question for anyone feeling they know their capacitors: the reference circuit 
in section 6.1 of the FT232H datasheet [1] shows electrolytics for the 4.7 uF 
bypass capacitors. Can they be reasonably substituted with simpler and smaller 
ceramics, thinking 0803 package and X7R (even better 0603 but I can only find 
X5R)?
