We've been using that for some time on the Novena because of problems with the 
EIM interface.

It is prohibitively slow for extraction of random numbers (for QA and likely 
also for some applications needing lots of random numbers).

I expect it to be too slow for a number of interesting hash-then-sign use 
cases too.
