The actual performance we need is not really clear yet from the
requirements. The big drivers we have in the use cases are being able to
do things like sha256+RSA2048. The performance for that will be
dominated by the RSA2048.
Right now we are running the EIM with 16-bit data with @ 66MHz (if I
remember correctly). And the cores are running at 50 MHz. This is
probably good enough for the alpha board. If I could wish for something
for the alpha board it would be to extend EIM to 32 bit data with. And
possibly increase core frequency to 66 MHz. That should give plenty of
oomph.
