This also means that you can better know that the PCB design has not
been tampered with between generating the gerber files and the
manufactured boards.

But more importantly the time to do a new version of a board design is
slashed. For anything that an live with the limitations on number of
layers and have enough volume this will be a killer way to make boards.
I bet these babies and copies of them will probably appear in clusters
in China directly and handle bigger volumes too.
