is there a backup plan for usb or whatever install in case we do not
have net?  noc does not officially have net up until sunday or
something.

otoh, i am coordinating with them and we may have a local-only net.  or,
if they are having an easy time of it, we could even have real net.  but
don't count on it.

i have a t-mo wifi dongle that may work.  or it may not.
